Education Partnership Fund

The Education Partnership Fund is the easiest way to give a gift that will benefit the South Lake Community and its residents for years to come. Its holistic approach reaches the community in three distinct ways: Scholarships, Grants, and Workshops.

"When I got the news I would be receiving a scholarship from the Community Foundation of South Lake I felt a sense of validation and recognition for my hard work and achievements. This Scholarship has motivated me to continue to excel in my academic pursuits and strive for academic excellence." Dante George, Frank B Farr Memorial Scholarship Recipient ~ Class of 2021

Scholarships

Since 2003, the Foundation has administered over $1 million in scholarships to local students seeking a college degree or technical certificate, from high school students to adults continuing their educational journey. Your support allows this success to continue years after your donations are made.

Grants

Grants are one of the most impactful ways the Foundation is able to aid the communities growth in education on a deeper level. Grants have been given to various local schools, organizations, and nonprofits that focus on areas in the community where the most need is present. Many times this is in areas of creating a space where local youth are able to get services above and beyond what the school district is able to offer. The Foundation does the work of ensuring our grantees have been properly vetted and are making a clear difference in the community through their programs.

Workshops and Courses

When the correct tools are provided to a community it can thrive. In this way, our partnerships with local businesses, nonprofits, and residents are able to bring meaningful information and education outside of the traditional classroom setting. These workshops and courses are geared towards educating the leaders, mentors, volunteers, nonprofits, and businesses serving our community. By doing this, we are able to collaborate and share knowledge to foster growth in all areas.

To see courses available to the community, check out our events page.
