Fund Focus: Women’s Giving Alliance supports shared causes
When women unite around a common purpose, remarkable things happen. That spirit defines the Women’s Giving Alliance (WGA). A giving circle where members contribute individually and award grants collectively, accomplishing far more together than any one person could alone.
As we recognize International Women’s Day this month, it’s especially meaningful to highlight the WGA’s work. While we celebrate women’s achievements worldwide, the WGA invests in opportunities for women and children right here at home.
Through collective giving, members pool their resources to fund programs that deliver measurable impact across South Lake County. Since its founding, the WGA has raised more than $750,000 to support nonprofits, with a strong focus on women and families.
The WGA’s annual grant cycle reflects its thoughtful, accountable approach to philanthropy. Applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations serving South Lake County residents and meet established financial guidelines. The 2026 grant application window opens April 24 and closes June 9.
Congratulations to Jennifer Ganley, the WGA’s new Chair. Her leadership will help grow membership, deepen impact, and inspire more women to recognize that their voices, and their giving, truly matter.
If you’d like to meet members or enjoy a fun evening, keep an eye out for upcoming Women’s Giving Alliance events.
